SUMMER HILL

Summer Hill is a mainly residential suburb in Sydney’s inner west, bordered by the suburbs of Ashfield, Haberfield, Lewisham and Dulwich Hill.

The opening of the railway station in 1879 heralded a period of rapid growth with the area soon becoming known as an upper-class suburb due to its popularity as a place to live for people engaged in the banking, insurance and associated professions. 

With its proliferation of Victorian and Federation styled architecture and “village” style shopping centre, Summer Hill has a special charm which is once again being rediscovered by professionals and genteel retirees who enjoy the wonderful sense of community whilst at the same time being able to access all that Sydney City has to offer.

Summer Hill is less than 10 kilometres from the Sydney CBD which can be accessed by bus, train or taxi; a journey of only 10 to 15 minutes.
